NordConnect, a project funded by The Nordic Council of Ministers and Integration Norden, Nordic Welfare Centre / Nordens välfärdscenter, coordinated by Saimaan ammattiopisto Sampo together with Charge Incubator and Crossing Borders, recently captured the spotlight on TE-Live, drawing attention to our best practices and remarkable achievements. The feature offered viewers an exclusive glimpse into the project’s journey, from its inception to its current milestones.
Led by our project manager, Rozabela Singh, the video provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s objectives and accomplishments thus far. Terhi Toikkanen, CEO, Edusampo Oy shared about Forum, Voices of Victory, one of the exemplary practices, adopted in the project. The video continued with insights from Sirpa Utunen, teacher of TUVA, Saimaan ammattiopisto Sampo, who provided valuable context on the course offerings within TUVA and shed light on the transformative impact of the project on the educational landscape.
One of the most notable aspects of the video was its focus on the students (Sabrina Haimonti, Emilio Cornejo, Vladyslav Urdenko, Safi Kalaki, Irina Stepanova, Bohdan Ziuz, Natalia Ivanova and Yevhen Krutko) themselves. To be future leaders who have actively participated in various project activities were given a platform to share their experiences and insights. From carrying out real-world projects to honing their skills, these individuals offered valuable perspectives on the impact of the project on their personal and professional growth. In addition to this, NordConnect has also provided students with opportunity to showcase their skills on a larger stage, such as participating in city events, which has offered them valuable exposure and empowered them professionally.
As the project continues to chart new territories, the TE-Live feature served as a testament to its enduring commitment to innovation and excellence. With upcoming events such as the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp scheduled for September 10th and 11th in Lappeenranta, the Project Manager has extended an invitation to all internationals across Finland who are interested in embarking on an entrepreneurial journey to join the event. This event aims to support and empower those considering starting their own businesses.
